This shot is something else. Trees growing in snow. What?
Notice the size of the trees and how the photographer arranged them. If you were to draw a shape around them it would be almost a cone shape. What that does is it makes your eye start with the biggest tree on the right and then follow the line all the way to the left. That, my friends, is the sign of a very well-composed shot, and it's super important in landscape shots
Also notice the colors. There's a lot of black and white. This makes for awesome contrast to highlight the trees. Furthermore look at the leaves. They're pretty much the only bit of color in this entire shot, further accentuating the treetops and drawing your eyes to them.
I can't emphasize enough how well-done this shot is.
