Photo: "Flooded, Uprooted, Burned: The Tracks of Sandy on the Shore" - Stephen Wilkes
Stephen Wilkes is a fine-art and commercial photographer based in New York who was commissioned by Time to take photos of the New Jersey coast where his hometown is. Days after Sandy he decided to rent a helicopter to purvey the damage.
Much like the previous post, these aerial shots represent a unique perspective on what happened in New Jersey during Huricane Sandy. They encompass much more and therefore tell the story of a bigger picture (literally).
"When I got home that night, the images still in my mind made it impossible to sleep." - Stephen Wilkes
